The souvenir items for the exhibition have been finalised and are shown in detail below.

During the exhibition unsold Souvenir Items will be available from the Organising Committee stand, located immediately on your left as you enter the exhibition hall. Where indicated on your order form, any pre-ordered souvenirs may also be collected at the Organising Committee Stand. Collect orders which include a set of four Show Covers will not be available until the final day. The location of this stand is shown in the layout diagram of the philatelic area. The stand is shown on the diagram as “PHILAS & SSE15 OC STAND”.

For the numbered souvenir items, numbers 1 and 100 will not be available for sale, as they are being reserved for the Palmares auction.

Some of the images of the souvenir items shown below are purely mock-ups of the final product. These images will give you an idea of what the final product will look like, including the positioning and size of the logo and number. Naturally, the white backgrounds will not appear on the final products. The logos shown in these mock-ups may not necessarily be the final colour on the end product (see below).

From this range of souvenirs, the four ANZAC themed postmarks, the exhibition logo, and the various ANZAC related stamp issues from Australia Post, enterprising and innovative collectors should be able to develop an interesting array of souvenir items, many of which may possibly be unique.

For all of the numbered items, with the exception of the Show Covers, the number will be printed in the same colour as the overprint of the SSE15 logo.

To ensure that all of our avid souvenir collectors do not miss out on any of the “goodies” shown below, as from 22 March we have included a listing of unsold items. This list will be updated each Sunday night, thus allowing collectors to quickly see what items they need to hurry up and order. To see the latest listing, click here.

    Show Covers

There will be 100 numbered sets of four overprinted DL envelopes available at $20.00 per set. The sets available are numbers 2 – 99.

These white covers have been overprinted in the top left hand corner with the two colour SSE15 logo, and will be franked with a unique “P” stamp - see reduced size uncancelled illustration below. The stamp is Peel and Stick, and shows the Australian map in green and the SSE15 Logo in the selvedge – see the enlarged illustration at right.

The postmark for the 16th April is in green, for the 17th and 18th the postmarks are in black, and for the 19th, the postmark is in red. To view the postmarks, click here.

These “P” stamps will NOT be available other than on the Show Covers.

    Overprinted Plain DL Envelopes

For such an auspicious occasion as the Centenary of the ANZAC landing at Gallipoli Australia Post will have available a range of issues related to that occasion. Also, our four postmarks are specifically related to the remembrance of that occasion.

To allow collectors to create their own souvenir items with all of the various combinations and option available, we will have available a quantity of white DL envelopes overprinted with the two colour SSE15 logo. The cover is the same as shown above but without the “P” stamp affixed. These envelopes are not numbered and will be available at 50 cents each.

    Stamp Replica Cards (SRC)

The final SRC will be released at SSE15. This card features the eight pence ANZAC stamp issued in 1965 showing Simpson and his Donkey. This will be SRC No. 50. The SRC’s are $10.00 each. The SRC’s are not numbered.

The issue of SRC’s has been discontinued because the capability of producing them now is virtually non-existent in Australia.

To be released at SSE15 is a book titled "Australia's Stamp Replica Cards". It has been researched and written by Martin Walker, and is the fully illustrated history of the 50 Stamp Replica Cards which have been produced over their 21 year life. The book is A4 in size with 100 + pages and will be available from the APF Store (stand 29) at the exhibition. The selling price is $50.00, and there is a limit of one copy per person. Click here to view a scan of the front cover.

As is usually the case, there will be an issue of black cards, but these are limited to 100 and will only be available as an insert into Martin’s book.
